     The God of Too Much
                  by the Preacher

Genesis 17:1 says: When Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

For the first time in scripture, God introduces himself as the Almighty God or El Shaddai, which means the "all sufficient one" or the "all powerful one".

I see God as the God of too much.  God gave Abram his covenant name Abraham and He had promised his seed would be as the stars of heaven.  All Abraham asked for was one heir to give his inheritance.  But God gave him heirs as the stars of heaven.  He is the God of too much.  Set your goals and dreams high because God is desiring to bless your socks off!

Ephesians 3:20 says: Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Praise God!  He is the God of too much!
