This prison ministry is the vision and heart of Pastors Larry & Faye Martin. From the confines of the Georgia Prison System, "Ye Visited Me Ministries" was birthed while it's visionary (Pastor Larry) was still incarcerated. From inside those bars, he traded "soup" to another inmate in exchange for drawing up the Articles Of Incorporation for him and the ministry was borne! Currently, this ministry has over 80 certified volunteers and maintains monthly services at 8 prisons in Georgia, as well as conducts a "Day Of Freedom" several times per year at various other prisons and detention centers. The vision is to take the ministry throughout the United States into every prison so we can let some the most precious people know that God did not place them there and He hasn't forgotten them, but loves them passionately.
Day Of Freedom
Our Day Of Freedom is just that - a day where the inmate can truly recognize the freedom they can have through Christ. Our team of 30 -50 volunteers goes into the facility and takes live music, (Jacobs Well and Soul'd Out), anointed drama (Ablaze), dynamic dance (Repairers Of The Breach and Out Of The Mist), Fantastic Mime (Unspeakable), and Guest Speakers from all around. We take our motorcycles inside the prison yard and have a day of ministry to the men and ladies. At the end of the day, we minister one-on-one with them to ensure that they have the opportunity to accept Christ.
